Nothing really going on today. We are just hanging out at the house waiting for Daddy-O to come home from work. I've got chicken enchilada chili cooking in the crockpot and my house is mostly clean. Sissy has been a little stinker today and even pulled my hair once. She was mad because I wouldn't let her eat toothpaste. Go figure. So, I just put her down on the floor and told her "no. we do not pull mommy's hair." And, the poor baby broke down crying. I felt bad for about a half a second until I realized she was up and headed back toward the bathroom to steal the tube of toothpaste again.
Anyhoo...here is a random picture of the little stinker...with a toothbrush in her mouth. The girl is obsessed, I tell ya! Oh, and she also likes playing dress up. Luke is teaching her well.
The daily happenings of a stay-at-home mama, a kung-fu fighting Lukey, a Dora-Splora lovin' Sissy-Monster, and our sweet baby #3 due to arrive this summer!

halloween trunk or treat

Luke decided he wanted to be a "race car driver" (hence the nascar costume and thanks to my dad who took him out to the race track) the day of the the trunk or treat. He did end up wearing his peter pan costume on actual Halloween and I got some cute pictures of that that I will post later.

i love chwubby fingers

Olivia is growing up way too fast. So, naturally, I have been obsessed with taking pictures of all of her little "bits" that make her my squishy widdle baby girl. Today, chwubby widdle fingers shoveling food into her mouth. Tomorrow, chwubby widdle hiney. I know you can hardly handle the suspense.
Okay, enough with the baby talk all ready!

just keeping it real
more sissy sweetness
one year old sissy

I hate the the focus is slightly off, but I'll take it. Sissy is in that perpetual motion phase and I was able to snap this shot just before she head dove off the couch for her paci. No sissy's were injured in the making of this photograph. I was able to use my supermommy quickness to snap the shot and then grab her just inches before she smacked the ground.

And, she thought it was funny when she would pull her headband down like this.

swingy-dingy
sissy enjoyed the new little swing that her paw-paw hung out on the breezeway just for her. so, we spent much of memorial day weekend relaxing outside and enjoying the fresh air and taking turns pushing sissy back and forth.

she especially loved it when lukey would come by and give her a little ride. or, as shown in the picture below, "twisty" her up and make her spin. and i think lukey got a kick out of that as well.

i love this little smile she's giving luke. she thinks he's just the absolute coolest and just loves her big brother. one of the best things about being a mom up to this point has been watching the relationship grow between lukey and sissy.

and in other news, sissy is pulling up and cruising around on everything. she loves to walk around holding onto my fingers so it won't be long until she's walking. what am i going to do?

and one of lukey giving out kissies.

and then one of grandma playing 'pat-a-cake' with sis.

sissy has a friend
he doesn't really have a choice in the matter. he was kind of born into the role of "best friend". but, he seems to be falling into this role quite well. he let sissy hold his hand...even after we caught her looking up at us with guilty eyes and his poor little fingers in her mouth. what a good sport.

he posed for a few pictures. to document this budding new friendship, of course.

i love it when sissy sits like this. she looks like such a little big girl.

uh-oh. wonder where she learned this?

and look how happy she is. she loves her avery already.

another obsession
sissy.

oh, how we love all her squishy goodness.
olivia is almost 9 months old now and still the happiest baby around. she's generally just "happy to be here" and goes where ever lukey and i must go. the only time you will hear her fuss is if big brother snatches a toy from her sticky kung-fu grip. and by fuss, i do mean total hysterics. luke is learning, slowly.
some of her favorite things are cheerios, pizza crust, and empty ice cream cones. and she is still obsessed with her paci and the boob, sometimes both...at the same time. another post for another day.
she is not a fan of the swing, jumperoo, or excersaucer. oh, or crawling. the girl just likes to be where ever we are, doing what ever we are doing. which, generally means that she spends about 8 hours a day on my hip. and i was wondering why my right oblique is so much weaker during pilates class tonight.
so that's sissy. will do a proper 9 month update after we see the doctor.
